According to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, 10 percent of adults, or around 23 million people, struggle with substance abuse at one point in their life. Most people who struggle with substance abuse disorder or drug addiction require inpatient rehab to start the recovery process.
An inpatient addiction treatment program is almost always the first step in a person’s journey to a sober lifestyle and recovery. During this time, the person lives in the treatment center with medical professionals on hand to begin recovery without the pressure of daily life and routine.

All Waves Settle is a treatment center providing individualized care plans and numerous services to those struggling with substance abuse. The first step for anyone entering treatment is undergoing a detoxification process.
Medical detox refers to the process patients must experience to rid their bodies of harmful chemicals and toxins from using drugs and alcohol. This is performed in a treatment facility with qualified professionals watching over patients 24/7 to ensure symptoms don’t become too painful or unmanageable.
Some may only require 12-24 hours, while others may need several days or weeks before symptoms subside.
